Brain health rarely comes down to a single test, recommendation, or appointment.
As new laboratory results, brain imaging, cognitive testing, research, and recommendations accumulate, the challenge becomes understanding what matters, how the pieces fit together, and what deserves attention next.
The Annual Precision Brain Health Education Program provides a year-long framework for that process.
Offered through the Pacific Neuroscience Institute Foundation and overseen by David A. Merrill, MD, PhD, the program provides ongoing education, synthesis, and strategic perspective for individuals and families seeking a deeper understanding of their cognitive and brain health.
What the Program Provides
Throughout the year, participants may receive:
Educational review and synthesis of existing medical information, including laboratory results, imaging, cognitive testing, and reports
High-level educational interpretation of new information as it becomes available
Help understanding how findings and recommendations relate to one another
Educational perspective on priorities and questions to discuss with treating clinicians
Responses to appropriate non-clinical questions between scheduled visits
Educational coordination when multiple providers or programs are involved
Longitudinal perspective as information, goals, and circumstances evolve
Rather than approaching each new result in isolation, the program helps participants maintain a coherent, evolving picture of their brain health over time.
Part of the Precision Brain Health Program
The Precision Brain Health Program is the broader framework for our work in brain health.
The Annual Precision Brain Health Education Program is the annual educational offering within that framework, designed for people who want continued guidance and integration beyond time-limited clinical appointments.
When appropriate, it can also serve as a starting point for coordinated educational engagement with other Pacific Neuroscience Institute Foundation programs, including lifestyle, scientific, or cognitive educational services.
Collaborator services are optional and may require separate enrollment or fees.
Annual enrollment
Program fee: $5,000 per year
The annual fee reflects ongoing educational review, synthesis, and advisory support across the year—not a single consultation.
Enrollment renews annually to provide continuity as new information emerges and priorities evolve.
Important distinction
The Annual Precision Brain Health Education Program is educational and separate from medical care.
It does not include medical diagnosis, prescribing, treatment, test ordering, or paid access to a treating physician. Clinical appointments, medical needs, and insurance-based services remain separate and unchanged.
